Here are a lot of random pictures of our house, our friends, the college, and the general Bushenyi-area. Plus, there are now a couple of Kampala. As such, it's a good intro to where we're living in Uganda.

One of the big projects Sarah and I have been involved with as Peace Corps Volunteers is introducing baseball in Uganda and combining it with Life Skills Education. Here are a bunch of pics of our various baseball competitions and workshops, along with a few of our life skills peer educators doing their thing.

In March 2006, Sarah and I travelled to PCV Laura Feldman's site in Kibaale District to conduct some baseball and self-defense workshops. Kibaale is one of the poorest districts in Uganda. There are no paved roads or electricity (aside from generators) in the entire district. However, it does have an abundance of beautiful scenery, as can be seen herein. This album highlights our chimp tracking trip to Kibale Forest National Park. Due to low-light conditions, we didn't get the greatest pictures. However, keep an eye out for upcoming video. It's very cool.

We (Adam, Gina, John, Brandy, Sarah, and Eric) all had a lot of fun on this trip to Lake Mburo National Park. Plus, it was one last fling for fellow PCV, John Cutrell, who's now back State-side. On this trip, we also saw hyenas during a night drive, but for obvious reasons, we have no pictures.

Lions, lions, lions were the highlight of this trip. We were lucky enough to see the same group of one-year olds twice, once on the way in and once on the way out, and were able to get some really nice pictures. We're now two-for-two on seeing lions at Queen Elizabeth.

Goatstock 2005, the annual PC-Uganda Halloween party, was an absolute blast. It was held at Byoona Amagara Whole Life Project on Itambira Island in beautiful Lake Bunyonyi (Lake Little Birds), which comes highly recommended by all of us PCVs. Highlights included the costume contest (won by Lurlene from Lubbock) and the wiffle-ball championship series, which was won 2 games to 1 by the second-year volunteers.

This album contains pictures of our first trip to Lake Mburo National Park. The park's biggest attraction is its huge herds of zebra. It is also the only place in Uganda where you can see impala. Most of the pictures here were taken during our walking safari, an activity that becomes quite exciting when a lone male buffalo starts to stare you down.

Here are pictures from the first karate testing of the 2005-06 school year. The students that tested this term have become a very solid core for the Bushenyi PTC Karate Club and are among my best friends here in Uganda. I am very proud of their work, and I am very happy to have them as students.
